General Atomics successfully released its new Advanced Air-Launched Effects (A2LE) platform from the internal weapons bay of an MQ-20 Avenger Unmanned Aircraft System. The platform, developed in partnership with Divergent Technologies, was entirely built with additive manufacturing and designed to meet the MQ-20’s captive carriage and ejection loads. This demonstration marks a crucial first step in demonstrating GA-ASI’s ability to rapidly develop, manufacture, and test a Small Unmanned Aircraft System in a controlled, low-risk approach.
